Jose Mourinho has lauded the 'naughty but funny' Jesse Lingard and his positive impact on team spirit.
Lingard has become a key part of Mourinho's Manchester United squad and his form earned him a call-up to England's World Cup squad this summer.
The 25-year-old is set to play an important role for Gareth Southgate's side as they aim to negotiate through Group G past Belgium, Tunisia and Panama in Russia.
And Mourinho, who returned to school for a Jaguar World Cup Q&A, has praised Lingard's ability to make jokes but not be a disruptive influence on his team-mates.
He said: 'He is a naughty but funny guy. He is the funny one that doesn't disturb the class. He is the funny one that the teacher isn't upset with.
'He is the one that makes things work and in the right moment he is positive and he makes everyone in the class laugh and creates a good atmosphere and that is the atmosphere that we always want in our class, because I was also a school teacher and I know what it means.
'We like the funny person that doesn't disturb and makes everyone happier. We don't like the naughty ones who disturb everyone as they learn.'
Mourinho believes England's blend of youth and experience will serve them well this summer.
He added: 'England have a good group of young but experienced players. All of them play in the best domestic competition in the world in the Premier League.
'All of them playing in the best teams. All of them having experience of playing in the Champions League. So yes, I think they can do it.'
