知名Apple分析員郭明錤表示，Apple 於10月30日舉辦的「Scary Fast」活動中將聚焦在 M3 系列 MacBook Pro 機型上，更暗示會推出 M3、M3 Pro 和 M3 Max 三種晶片的可能性。
郭明錤表示，早前預測 Apple 不太可能在2023 年推出新款 MacBook Pro 機型的原因是2023 年第4 季度出貨量有限。他又進一步指，由於M2晶片的算力升級有限，出貨量有所下降，可能是導致 Apple 推出產量較低的M3 MacBook Pro 機型的原因。但如Apple確實發布 M3、M3 Pro 和 M3 Max 晶片，預計將在 13 、14 和 16 吋 MacBook Pro 機型中推出。

As far as I know, Apple attributes the significant decline in MacBook shipments in 2023 mainly to the limited M2 computing power upgrade. I believe this is why Apple may prefer to launch the M3 series MacBook Pro even when its production volume is still low rather than continue…

郭表示，如果 M3 型號最終無法提高 MacBook 的出貨量， 2025 年推出全新設計的 MacBook Pro的可能性就會增加，而且Apple也有可能考慮推出「更實惠的 MacBook 型號」。

Bloomberg（彭博社）的記者 Mark Gurman也表示，Apple 一直在測試 M3 Max 和 M3 Pro MacBook Pro 機型，更暗示這些型號會有更新。但 Gurman 稱，Apple目前不會更新 MacBook Air 、 Mac mini、Mac Studio 或 Mac Pro 機型。
