富士康（Foxconn）於印度的 iPhone工廠曾於 2021 年因工人宿舍存在嚴重的衛生問題而暫時關閉。近日有外媒報道政府的檢查結果，發現情況比想象中更惡劣。
外媒根據政府檢查員發送給富士康的信報道，有6名負責手動焊接 iPhone 零件的工人沒有配戴護目鏡、耐化學手套等的防護裝備。此外，工廠進行焊接區域的通風系統不足，有毒煙霧很容易擴散到工作環境中，危險工人的健康。
報道又指，工廠有 77 部自動化機械的門上缺少聯鎖系統（Interlocking System），以防止機械在危險條件下運行。另外，還有 262 台沖壓機械缺少防護裝置。
工廠還涉及壓榨勞工的情況，其中包括過長的工作時數，合約工沒有病假工資或有薪假期等，使工人面臨疲勞的風險。
不過富士康表示，採取了措施並解決了政府在檢查後提出的每一個問題。而Apple又指，工廠的問題在一年半前就已得到調查和解決，並通過每季度甚至每週派出的審查員檢查，以確保事件不會再次發生。
過去位在印度南部 Sriperumbudur 的富士康工廠 iPhone 組裝女工的宿舍環境十分擁擠，沒有抽水廁所、自來水，食物有時更會爬滿蟲子，導致超過 250 名工人因受污染的食品生病。
